As I mentioned in my last live here on Substack, I took a train to Milwaukee to visit my very good friend Carina Round while she wraps up the Sessanta Tour with her band, Puscifer. Also on the bill are two legendary bands, A Perfect Circle and Primus.

This tour is unbelievable, the lineup is absolute perfection. The show is 3 hours long, but you wouldn’t know it because when you have that much talent on stage, you are in it for the long haul. I can only imagine that being a part of this tour is a dream. I was with my love Carina for only 48 hours, but it was enough time to know that this show is not only special, but the people behind the scenes and on stage are all incredible folks working tirelessly to present something to the audience that is a one-of-a-kind experience.

A Perfect Circle was incredible. Every member on that stage is a freaking ROCK STAR. I love Billy Howerdel’s stage presence, so much movement and energy radiating from that man. Maynard is and will always be one of the best frontmen in rock. His voice sounded pristine, and his stage presence is that of a race horse. I can’t explain it, he just has IT.

When Primus walked on stage, it felt like the door to a magical cave slowly started opening up, and you knew something unbelievably cool was about to happen. As soon as you hear Les Claypool’s bass rig turn on and up, your body starts to shiver with excitement. It is hard to believe that the sound is coming from only 3 people. The head bobbing across the venue was spectacular.

Then there is Puscifer, what can I say, they were amazing. Maynard and Carina’s charismatic vocal stylings together are so refreshing. I have never heard anything like it. Mat Mitchell is the man behind the curtain in that band. He is controlling a lot of how that music sounds, that is abundantly clear to me now. Altogether, the show blew my mind, and I pray to God they keep doing this tour for years to come. Even if they switch out a band or two, it would still be very cool. I love the setup being all 3 bands on stage together playing 2 songs and then switching over to another band. All 3 drummers at one point or another played together as well.

Here are a few photos I took of my adventure. I didn’t take a ton, I wanted to be in the moment. That is why I didn’t get a chance to do a live while I was at the venues; there were also very strict rules about filming, which I loved. Maynard insists everyone at the show be present, and I couldn’t agree with him more. More of that, please.

The above footage is a bunch of random videos I took while on my little adventure. The second bit is a place called The SafeHouse in Milwaukee. Carina tricked me real good with that little outing. When we walked in, sitting at the bar were a few members from A Perfect Circle and Puscifer cheering as we walked in. Highly recommend this place if you ever visit Milwaukee.

Okay, back to reality, I have to get back to recording my EP! Also, I will be working on the next free download this week, so stay tuned for that.💋
